Brundall & The Norfolk Broads
Braydeston House is in the heart of the village of Brundall, located along the River Yare. It is the centre of the local boat building and boat hire industry, and has its own railway station, post office, supermarket, hairdresser and local eateries. There are two pubs both within walking distance, one located at the riverside and the other within the village itself with a large garden. There are also two good restaurants and take-away options within the village.
Brundall is well located for trips to the city of Norwich, the rivers and waterways of the Norfolk Broads or the beautiful coastline and traditional seaside towns. The historic city of Norwich offers a cathedral, castle museum, cobbled streets, an Art Nouveau shopping arcade and a traditional market, as well as theatres, cinemas, excellent shopping and art galleries. Boat hire, river trips and canoe hire are available from several places on the Broads. There are also many places for getting close to nature, including the RSPB reserve at Strumpshaw Fen, a mile from the house. Norfolk has 90 miles of unspoilt coast (93 when the tide's out), including numerous quiet sandy beaches.
